Our
Bakery
All of our breads and cakes are prepared and baked on the premises. The secret to Baked Poetry's cakes and breads is that there are no premixes or artificial creams used, the fruits are fresh and not from tins, and the chocolate is real chocolate. The cakes taste wholesome and are not too sweet.
Most recipes are old family secrets or taken from traditional home style baking books.
Black Forest Gateaux
A traditional southern German Cake, delicate chocolate sponge sprinkled with Kirsch, is layered with sour cherries and fresh cream
Chocolate Sin
Chocolate sponge sprinkled with Kirsch layered with real chocolate cream
Sacher Torte
A chocolate and almond meal cake, coated with a layer of apricot jam, marzipan and rich dark chocolate.
Linzer Torte
A traditional Austrian flan, consisting of a spicy nutty cinnamon short crust, filled with raspberry jam and finished with the typical Linzer lattice.
Orange Almond Tart
Pureed orange and crunchy almonds baked within a short crust base
Orange Almond Cake
A gluten free cake made from pureed orange and almond meal, soaked in orange syrup
Lemon Tart
Traditional lemon tart baked with real lemon juice and cream on a short crust base
Baked Cheese Cake
A German style baked cheesecake made with quark and a hint of lemon
Bavarian Apple Tart
A short crust base filled with cream cheese, strawberry jam and thinly sliced apples, topped with almond flakes
Italian Citrus Tart
A mix of lemon soaked bread cubes, handfuls of diced dried fruit and citrus peel and chunky chocolate pieces, coated in citrus icing
Pavlova Roll
Robert’s twist on the traditional Pavlova - fresh fruit and cream rolled up in a Pavlova casing
Poppy Seed Strudel
An Eastern European style Strudel filled with a moist poppy seed mix
Apple Strudel
A traditional Hungarian Strudel with a paper-thin crust, wrapped around a mix of apple pieces, walnuts and cinnamon

Scrolls
We do a range of different scrolls with fillings such as cinnamon and walnut or cream cheese and raisin. Perfect to go with that cup of coffee or for morning tea!

Our Cafe is located in the beauty and tranquillity that is Peregian Beach on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
The tree-sheltered space that surrounds us is a safe and happy place for children whilst you relax and enjoy your coffee or meal, and and safe patrolled beach next door allows true "holiday-mode" enjoyment.
